Our Teachers / Leaders / Administrators Say:
Kim Harvey has played a major role in the Out of School Suspension Program. She comes to our facility and speaks with students from all Henry County Schools that are attending the program. These students have been suspended from school for many different reasons. The last few months I would say that she has made an impact on the students that hear her speak. She doesn't just give statistics and scenarios about bullying, but she engages the students. Ms. Harvey gets to know each and every student. She seems to have a true passion for what she does. I think she is a great person, mentor, and educator to these students. I completely support the Angels and Doves program and everything that they stand for. Thank you
Kim's presentation to our students had a very positive effect by making them consider what bullying is and how it affects the school.
Thank you Kim. I'm impressed with your mission and work…
"I think that you provided great information to the children and encouraged them to really think about what bullying looks and feels like, as well as, the effects that bullying has on everyone."
Hi Kim, It was a pleasure meeting you last week. I feel you made a difference in many of our children... God Bless,
Thank you again Kim for coming to speak to us. I totally agree. The teens in that room definitely got some perspective yesterday and all took away some great knowledge that they didn't have before. Also the students that I was telling you about yesterday are now building back their friendship. A huge transformation from before your presentation (friction, not speaking, or being around each other) and after your presentation. They are now talking to each other, sitting together at lunch and participating in activities together. Thank you so much for coming in and sharing with them!
Angels & Doves Anti-Bully program is a nationwide charity that is headquartered right here in Indianapolis. Over the last seven years, they have spoken to over 15K students to fight this epidemic in grades K-12. Their program offers a professional presentation and support tools that include The Bully Book and The Bull Program. This is a program that could have great potential in supporting IPS schools in their effort to change the climate of youth violence. Please consider implementing this effort to the enhancement of the IPS curriculum. Thank you for your consideration. It is most appreciated.
